I trained in the transpersonal/psychodynamic approach. Transpersonal therapy says that all of life is made up of 4 general areas: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Touch one part and you affect all the other parts. As a grief and transpersonal counsellor I am here to empower you...to help you make the changes that will fit your life and work for you.
I am here for you – to attune to your needs, and hear your story in a safe and confidential setting. Together we will search for, and travel the path towards your healing.
I am a graduate of Queen’s University in Psychology and Education, with a post-graduate diploma in Addiction and Mental Health, which included 6 months training at CAMH.
I also have post-graduate diplomas in Spiritual Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction, and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).
I have been trained in Bereavement Support, and hold a Certificate in Hospice Palliative Care.
I have over 20 years experience dealing with Grief, Loss, Divorce, Anxiety, Addiction, Depression, Chronic Pain, Stress, Anticipatory Grief, and Suicide.
I volunteer at Bereaved Families of Ontario-Toronto, and the Scarborough Centre for Healthy Communities (The Hub), co-facilitating bereaved parents groups.
I have also co-led the training of bereavement/hospice volunteers at the HUB.
